The Challenge:
Bella would lunge and bark at every dog we passed on walks. I was embarrassed and avoided busy areas completely. Our walks became stressful for both of us.
Our Approach:
We worked on systematic desensitization and counter-conditioning. Started with distance work at Dog Beach during quiet hours, gradually building up her confidence and changing her emotional response to other dogs.
Results Achieved:
- Can walk calmly past other dogs at 10-foot distance
- Enjoys off-leash time at Dog Beach again
- Stress-free walks through Mission Beach
- Improved confidence in all situations

Duke

The Challenge:
Duke was a fearful 12-week-old rescue puppy who was scared of everything - cars, people, other dogs, even leaves blowing in the wind. We were worried he'd never be a confident adult dog.
Our Approach:
Intensive socialization program during his critical period. Controlled exposure to 100+ experiences, confidence-building exercises, and positive associations with new environments around North Park and Balboa Park.
Results Achieved:
- Confident around new people and dogs
- Enjoys car rides and adventures
- Comfortable in busy environments
- Strong foundation for advanced training

Max

The Challenge:
Max had zero recall and would run off chasing seagulls, surfers, and other dogs at the beach. I couldn't trust him off-leash anywhere, which limited our outdoor adventures.
Our Approach:
Beach-specific recall training using real-world distractions. Built a strong recall foundation, then practiced at Dog Beach, Fiesta Island, and local trails with increasing levels of distraction.
Results Achieved:
- Reliable recall even with seagulls present
- Can enjoy off-leash beach time safely
- Excellent trail manners on hikes
- Responds immediately to emergency recall
