Why "Feral"?

Feral isn't about wild or uncontrolled. It's about honoring the nature of dogs while helping them thrive in our human world.

It's about training that respects instincts rather than suppressing them. It's about adventures over obedience, relationships over commands, and understanding over dominance.

Your dog isn't broken. They're just being a dog in a world that often doesn't make sense to them.

We're here to bridge that gap.

Meet Your Trainer

[Your Name]

Founder, Lead Trainer, Chief Adventure Officer

I didn't start out as a dog trainer. Like many people in this field, I found my way here through my own struggles with a difficult dog who changed my life. [Personal story about her journey into dog training]

After years of working at Zoom Room Mission Bay, training hundreds of dogs and their humans, I realized something was missing. Dogs don't live in training facilities—they live on beaches, in apartments, on trails, and in coffee shops. They needed training that worked in their real lives, not just in a classroom.

So I created Feral Dog Training. A training company that comes to you, works with your actual life, and helps you build the relationship you actually want with your dog.

"Training should strengthen the bond between you and your dog, not rely on intimidation or outdated dominance theories."

Our Philosophy

Science Meets Adventure

We believe in using methods backed by behavioral science and learning theory. But we also believe training should be fun, adventurous, and strengthen your bond—not create a robot.

What we believe:

  • Positive reinforcement builds confident dogs
  • Every dog deserves patience and understanding
  • Training happens everywhere, not just in class
  • The goal is harmony, not perfection
  • Adventures are the best rewards

What we don't do:

  • Prong collars, shock collars, or choke chains
  • Alpha rolls or dominance theory
  • One-size-fits-all programs
  • Shame-based training for dogs OR humans
  • Quick fixes that don't last
